Three days after the proposition, Ro sends me a pin and two words: Wear something decent.

The pin takes me to my old university. The one where I scraped together a general studies degree from eleven departments because nobody told me to stop. The building she leads me into belongs to someone who would have opinions about a student like me — strong opinions, the kind he shares at dinner — and Ro knows every hallway, every door, every keycard reader in the dark.
